CHC Helicopter awarded $14M contract renewal in Thailand
ST. JOHN'S, Nfld. (CP) — CHC Helicopter Corp. has won a $14-million contract renewal for two years with oil company PTT Exploration and Production in Thailand.
The St. John's-based company said today it will provide two Sikorsky helicopters to service the energy company's offshore exploration programs.
The contract, effective Jan. 24, 2004, extends an existing deal between the companies under new terms and conditions and is expected to generate $14.1 million in revenue.
CHC (TSX: FLY.A) is a provider of heavy and medium helicopter services to the global offshore oil and gas industry.
Shares in the company rose 31 cents to $28.35. in trading Thursday on the Toronto stock market.
