Can I have some money for fuel please?

Have been told recently that one heli flying school in the uk asks its students to pay for fuel.
Now that is a joke!!!

Ever been stuck for fuel without the means to pay for it?

Expand a bit !

What exactly are they asking and under what circumstances.

Or have I just missed the humour due to personal stupidity.

Cheers

If refuelling away from home field then as far as I know it is normal to pay for fuel, submit receipt and fuel cost is deducted from hire charges.

md902man: Do you mean on top of training costs or is it a separate charge, ie like + landing fees + vat etc
