Flying in USA
I am soon to go to Miami for a holiday and would like to hire a small aeroplane for a bit of sightseeing. Question is, how easy or difficult is it now to get an FAA licence ?
Last time I was there in the mid eighties I had a FAA license issued on the spot on the basis of my UK PPL. The ATPL I had issued shortly afterwards has a different number so presumably the airman certificate is no longer valid. :) Is there an FAA office near Miami ? |
you have to fill out a couple of forms and pay about £16, plan on doing this some time time before you are due to fly out

Check your emails, oh, and depending on when you are planning to go, check out the Sun & Fun website - great, fun airshow to fly in to. |
