737ng flight directors

hello everyone

does anyone knows when exactly the flight director will disappears after takeoff with the switches are turned off ?
and where i can find the information ?

It might be a customer option, but will they show at all if off? If they do show when TOGA is selected then each channel will disappear when a roll or pitch channel is selected that is not TOGA.

On the 737's I have flown, 200 to 800, if the flight directors have been inadvertently left off before departure then they remain off until selected on.

Except for a TOGA click or two after lift off.

Quite right Denti,

Though I never chose the TOGA option and preferred to flick two little switches on instead.

Always a bit of a shock to the 200 hour F/O to be faced with a blank ADI and no guidance. Good inadvertent training - and they all coped with it well.

with TOGA will gives 15 pitch up ...
my question when the 15 degree pitch up will disappear ?

and many thanks for helping

AS has been said, with switches off the FD's will not show until TOGA is pressed twice airborne. When either mode is changed from TOGA that respective FD bar will disappear; same as on GA with switches off.
Changes will be LNAV/HDG SEL & VNAV/LVL CGH/V/S.

Don’t forget ALT ACQ RAT 5, that’s where it always gets messy quickly.

Indeed: Well spotted. :ok: and add to it if A/T is still in THR HLD. That is a double WTF moment as you approach warp factor.............
