IR revalidation
I am new to these forums and the whole professional pilot thang! I've found out a lot of prices with regards to training to get your fATPL but can someone tell me how much it costs to revalidate your IR (general cost)? Also, how does the revalidation differ from the initial IR test?
I think I am right in using the word 'revalidate'
i.e. your rating has not yet expired but will do so soon
Many thanks...

I paid about £750 for mine!! You're looking at approximately 2 hours flying (presumably twin) plus an examiner's fee...
It is easier than the initial test though.. There isn't that pressure from the examiner. Not like first time!! They know you've done it before under serious pressure, so they're a bit lighter on you!!

I presume you are talking about SPA revalidations. See this link
http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/175/Lasors_Section_E.pdf
Section E1.5
The renewal is a Proficiency Check so there are fewer IR items than the IR Skill Test. If you are doing it in an SPA MEP then the MEP LPC is done at the same time. 2 hours is max you can expect, as BN2A correctly observed most IREs are pragmatic.
