52N50W Last night.

Anyone know anymore about the 'Rocket Launch' around about 52N50W last night that was being talked about on 123.45?

Yes. We were visiting launch control and the level of supervision wasn't all that it might have been. One of my charges sat on the console whilst we were getting the big spiel.
Well as it turned out he shouldn't have sat precisley there....in fact he couldn't have picked a worse place.

We made our apologies and left rather quickly. I believe the spare is a few months short of completion. But at least it proves that you don't need one of those raunchy countdowns to get your rockets off.

Wink Austin Powers?

Maybe it was Dr.Evil launching in his 'Big Boy' rocket out of his underground volcanic lair...
