ATR and Airbus similarities

Does anyone have an idea of how similar the ATR is to the Airbus? Obviously one being a TP and the others being med to large jets, there isn't alot in common, but I remember seeing a poster of an Airbus cockpit, and the overhead panel looked remarkably similar to the ATR.

Both use "lights out" concept, both have pushbuttons on the OHP made by the same people,( trying to think back to my 18 months on 42's and 72's )I think even the "anti-skid and nosewheel steering switch" is the same.
ATR's are great aeroplanes - well I was a convert and now I enjoy the 'bus very much !!
