North Canadian Emergency Strips

Trogging along the NCA tracks yesterday I got to thinking (never a good thing..). If I had a emergency and wound up lobbing into Cambridge Bay or Hall Beach or any other gravel emergency strips - what would I find after fleeing the burning remains of my beastie (along with up to 400 punters)?

I'm not talking about facilities as such but just plain (plane?) shelter. It'd be rather ironic to heroically wrestle with the controls etc etc, get it onto the ground in a daringly safe manner - then freeze to death 'cos there's only a 2-man shed and the Captain's blagged that for him and his bird already..

Anyone out there care to enlighten me?
