unusual visitor to SNN this afternoon .....
any of you Aer Lingus or Ryanair drivers spot an unusual freighter landing in SNN this afternoon? ....... four engined prop aircraft(looked like twin props per engine) and a freighter ....... around the size of a large 737 ....... very strange tail setup ....... looked very "Russian" to me ....... on short finals aprox 1600 hrs today(6th march) ........ cheers ......

I think the beast you saw was AN22, counter rotating props and funny H shaped tail..

many thanks for the link 4t winks ....... it certainly looks like the a/c I saw today ...... you could hear it coming from miles away with its very unusual sound and slow approach ....... I know SNN has a good mumber of Russian freighters going through on a regular basis but have never seen the likes of the AN22 before ......
cheers .........
