Counting Simulator Hours?

I know there are rules out there for counting sim hours for licence issue but what about the hours quoted for command upgrade or job vacancies. Any ideas?

Huh....?
Gimmie a break...the hours required for upgrade are OPERATING hours in every company where i've worked.

Operating, as in operating during line flying...not in the box.

I do remember one guy who waltzed into a middle-east carrier claiming a command type rating (varified on the license) and 500 hours line experience.
Turned out that he had quite a lot of line flying...in the sim.
Company said "goodbye".

Pity, because he was a good stick and rudder guy, but that is another story.
