A/C Resprays

Can someone tell me what the cost is for an a/c respray. I ask as it interests me that vast sums must be spent in this exercise and it appera at times that companies think that a new colour scheme is the solution to increased profits. Thanks

B757 re-spray costs £18-£20,000, but does not take into account the days that the Aircraft is on the ground prior, during, and post spray, which obviously means you're losing money by it not being available to fly.

Depends...

The size of the aeroplane determines the price, as well as whether it is scuffed and sprayed or strip and spray.

For example:

L10/DC10 size aircraft, scuff and spray, $66,000....strip and spray, $102,000.

Quotes are two years old.

Some aircraft are painted with pressure rollers...don't know about the costs involved.
