737 TRI/E or RETRE urgently needed

Does anyone know a 737 TRI/E or RETRE (not TRE) that will be available for one session before the end of October on a third party basis

A colleague and good friend of mine has lost his licence due medical and has been offered sim work but urgently needs to get his SFI rating sorted. He has a TRI rating on 737 but it expires end of October having not exercised it's privileges for nearly three years.

One session being generally observed instructing and signed off by a TRI/E or RETRE is all that the CAA require of him to issue the rating. However, this needs to be done by the end of October to prevent incurring further requirements.

Trouble is TRI/Es or RETREs are hard to get hold of.

Please email if you can help - will pay cash!

Might I be so bold as to suggest a call to either John Mahon or Mario Fulgoni at www.flyastraeus.com on - 01293 819800 (during office hours).

To my knowledge we've presently got 4 ( or is it it 5 ? ) B737 TRE / IRE's who could maybe help your friend.

Rgds,

Tony

Thanks for that, I will pass on the contact as they may have someone suitable.

Just to clarify though what is needed is a TRI/E or a RETRE. A standard TRE cannot sign off TRI/SFIs as competent. (JAR-OPS jargon I'm afraid! Basically someone that can examine instructors is what is needed)

I'm sure that John ( aka. PPRuNe's Hamrah ) will be on here later and might be able to clarify what's possible, or not, from our own in-house team - and / or alternatively provide a name of somebody that is suitably qualified.
