Regarding the pax briefing, if I recall correctly on the DC10 the oxygen generators are mostly in the back of the seats. Which means that if there's no seat in front of you (galley, storage, a door, or whatever instead), the masks will logically come from above (the ceiling). So based on Michele's post, I don't find anything particularly shocking. Of course I don't know the configuration of this particular DC10, but in some places of the cabin you have to have something other than a seat in front of yours.
Now on the "shagging" part... It makes absolutely no doubt that once in a while some of the souls on board will try to know each other better, or to break their own personnal record ("Whaz' the flight level again ? Gentlemen, I think we have a new transatlantic record").
Pax & pilot, pax & pax, F/A & pax, F/A & pilot, etc. Anything is possible and I guess that any medium-/long-haul airline has at least one or two very memorable story on the subject. On those widebodies (DC10, L1011, B747, etc.) where tour operators try to squeeze as many pax as they can, one of the galleys is sometimes on the lower deck (a not-always-small cage in the middle of the cargo holds). You probably have absolutely NO IDEA of what might be going on down there, even during revenue flights with a full load of self-loading freight watching "Cinderella" on the upper deck. Sometimes even the crew is embarassed...
This attitude (and the smoking) is obviously highly unprofessionnal and should be reported, at least to get an answer from the operator. Sometimes there's a big difference between what a pax thinks he has seen and what the crew really did. Amazing as it can be, sometimes pax get the wrong impression. I recall one particular episode where a pilot went into the galley because he tore off his trousers in the cockpit and found a F/A who knew how to quickly fix it with a rudimentary sewing kit. The F/A was on her knees, facing the pilot who was more embarrassed than anything. A pax came into the galley from the other end and, you guessed it, got a totally wrong idea of what was really going on. The pax left the galley in a hurry, garbled a confused apology, and litteraly ran back to her seat. Everybody's laughing about it now, but at that time it was quite a shock.
Regarding Electra in particular, I think they made a few lines in Flight Int'l a while ago when they landed on the taxiway of a greek airforce base.

Hi, I have tried the tray down the isle trick! We were on an empty sector of course.
It was an experience I would not like to relive. During excelleration down the runway, I was thrown to the back galley (737) on my tray. Getting faster and faster, as I arrived in the galley the aircraft was in the rotation, in the panic I scrambled into one of the rear jump seats.
I almost S**t myself. NEVER again!!

Tray down the isle trick
Just a quick note to say how much I laughed at that Galley-Wench22 
I am 18 but clearly have the mental age of a two year-old. That must have been sooooo much fun!!

Tray Sliding!
Yes, tray sliding on an empty aircraft is extremly good fun, tried it myself many a time.
It does however have its dangers and crew have broken limbs in the past by trying to stop themselves going so fast.
Not so amusing then
