787 descent

Hi all,

I have a question concerning the behavior of the 787 during descent. I am an A320 pilot and have been pax on the 787 a lot lately.

I noticed that during every descent (at various stages between cruise and final approach) there are very sudden and uncomfortable pitch movements. It seems to happen while speedbrakes are deployed and it clearly isn’t turbulence (it’s really only a pitch movement and it’s not shaky, just big, abrupt movements).

Does anybody know what causes this?

Thanks in advance

It can happen when you recapture the VNAV profile , e.g. pitch mode changes from VNAV SPD to VNAV PTH or going into VNAV PTH from another mode when you are close but not quite on profile.
