Luggage for Domestic Pilots in Australia
G'day, are there any airline pilots flying in domestically in Australia that could please shed some light on what they use for luggage while working?
Snagged my first job in the right seat of a jet and wanted to start looking at options. Are there enough overnights to justify a roller bag or is a carry bag sufficient?
I know Briggs & Riley and LuggageWorks are popular brands but appear to only be available in the US.
Cheers and clear skies!

The size of the bag will depend on the time you are away from base. One or two nights usually hand baggage stowed on the flight deck, long haul usually hold baggage, enough changes of both civilian and uniform shirts, several days of under wear, socks, handkerchiefs etc, both civ and uniform, clothes according to local climate, shoe cleaning gear. When you arrive at a destination and realise you don't have stuff you want remember to include it next time. When positioning away from base in civilian clothes the items most usually forgotten are uniform tie and shoes. Items like a personal headset are usually carried in your flight bag which is hand baggage. Enjoy your flying!.
