There was an article in www.thisismoney.com a while ago saying this:
Aviation analysts at Merrill Lynch say Boeing was so desperate to win the contract that Ryanair may have nailed the Seattle-based manufacturer for discounts of up to two thirds. This means Ryanair is paying just $20m (£14m) for each 189-seat next-generation 737-800 priced in the Boeing catalogue at more than $60m.

Nobody pays 'book price' for any new a/c - If MOL was canny enough to step into Mr Boeings office and offer to take 150 new jets off his hands at the same time as all the majors were cancelling orders left, right and centre then good luck to him.
Its only by being an astute businessman that you make a successful profitable airline.
Now how can we get MOL to take over BA?
