Didn't hear of anything like it.
Also it would certainly have hit the news and be accessible through a yahoo or cnn search, which it isn't...

I colleague told me about it... he had some delay getting into FRA and during approach saw the stranded jet on RWY 18 with at least some slides deployed. Maybe he got the airline worng?

Sorry to have got you confused there. I do stand corrected.
The aircraft involved was a Lufthansa A300 that aborted T/O at around 150kts after a bird strike. Although the firecrew immediately started cooling the brakes, the thermal plugs of the right hand wheels blew so that the aircraft was stuck on the RWY.
The passengers deboarded via provided stairs, no evacuation was nescessary.
