AWOPS by QANTAS
Booked a flight from Perth to Sydney with Qantas. It's the QF 566, but the booking indicates that the flight is operated by AWOPS.
I know about codeshares & franchisces, but who the heck are AWOPS?
Never heard of them.
AWOPS in my mind is Moscow in mid-winter

Since the Ansett collapse last year, Qantas have been using a few AWAS aircraft with contract crews, specifically in Oz the 767 (and in NZ the 737).
I would assume that AWOPS refers to these aircraft.
