Hi.

I'm an OJT trainee for first-time FO.

My instructor said that, to tune HF radio, first change freq, second press transmission key, last click RAD, to complete tuning.
But I cant find where is that described, or is it a common sence??
I've never used HF.
Please teach me.

From my decades in trans oceanic long haul. Select the new freq and key the mic. When the tuning tone stops you're good to go - start transmitting.
