Manston (Kent) runway

Hi Guys,

I have been told that the old RAF Manston runway in Kent is the longest in length in Britain.

I have done numerous searches on the Internet but cannot find anything to confirm this.

Is this true and is there a website that gives me details on runways, ie, grass, asphalt, length, direction etc ...

As you can see at least Heathrow is longer. (Thats the only other one i checked.)

It may actually be the widest though - not sure...
