A320 Rwy Extended Centerline
I am a flightsim pilot and have a question concerning the A320.
When flying a VOR approach selected from the approach page and on base leg flying in FCU Selected HDG (Radar Vector), how do I draw an extended centerline from a FAF? I have tried to do this using the DIR page: 1.Left line select the FAF 2.Enter the outbound track in the Inbound place using the Right LS key 3.Activate with right LS6 key. When I do this the FCU leaves HDG mode and goes into Managed mode and turns for a direct to course to the FAF. What I would like is to draw the extended centerline on the ND and stay in HDG mode.
Thanks
Paul

You can sequence the flight plan by deleting waypoints until the extended centerline is displayed but you might lose the FAF depending how many waypoints there are. That's the laziest way to do it.
Another way is to use the Direct to '' Radial In'' function. Just insert the FAF or the last relevant waypoint on the extended centerline and the radial in. Don't forget to pull heading, as ''NAV'' Blue will appear on the FMA.
