Boeing NNC Deferred Landing checklist

Quote

However, during the deferred Landing normal checklist, the pilot flying responds to all deferred normal checklist items. (I guess irrespective of area of responsibility)

Does anyone know why this is?

Thank you

To maintain the "normal" part of it and habit patterns for landing.

Since the PM reads, and the PF responds to , the normal landing checklist, [s]he should do the same for the deferred [non-normal] landing checklist. The note is probably to differentiate between that and the initial parts of ths non-normal checklist, where the PM (depending on local SOP) reads and performs most items without PF response.
