Go Citation?

Was working a Citation using the callsign GOE this afternoon and was just idly wondering what Go uses citations for? Nothing other than idle interest, the aircraft departed Birmingham, flew around over the Welsh borders for a bit and then landed at Filton. Was a pleasure to work the track, but....? Understand?

Believe this is a biz-jet operator using callsign go-jet, not sure of the name.

The company using the Go callsign is eurojet based in BHX.

It's actually GOJ - "Gojet" - which is the RTF for Eurojet based in BHX.

Maybe it was a typing mistake on the FPL?

Also got bases in Belfast and Dublin.......and they are very nice chaps indeed to boot!

I remember hearing a story that when Go (the airline) first started operating there used to be plenty of confusion whenever Gojet and Go callsigns were both on the same sector.

Said airline apparently suggested that Eurojet change their callsign.

Eurojet politely pointed out that they had it first.

Sorry...hate to pour water on a good story, but GO was never aware that someone had the Go- Jet callsign.
Go's callsign was (and still is ) Go Flight.

Thanks for the replies everyone, that clears things up.

The aircaft was actually using c/s "Go Jet", but it never occured to me that there may be a different operator using a similar c/s. In my defence, the track was already on the sector when I took over & the strip had GOE not GOJ. (Shoulder firmly sloped!)
I don't think It will effect the billing, so no harm done.
