Checkerboard Approach Kai Tak
Have any readers flown the IGS approach RWY 13 at Kai Tak Hong Kong?
I would like to know what height the aircraft was when turn on to final approach was complete.

I seem to recall that we aimed for 400-450ft. abeam the checkerboard in the turn. The highest point was the aerial on it at 390ft. Obviously one was displaced from the checkerboard not above it! In some wind conditions eg. during the south westerly monsoon the turn may not be completed until 100ft.
