B787 to B777 conversion

Hi, I know it’s a common type rating but does anyone know what training is involved converting a current B787 pilot to B777 ie class room/sim/line training, thanks

I'm sure any such training is very extensive and comprehensive.

They are a common type rating, which shows B777/787 on my licence, a bit like the 757/767, from what I can remember I only did a day in the classroom and a couple of sim sessions to fly the B757 from the B767, I was wondering what the format would be B787 to B777, I would expect similar, anybody done it?.

I assume, it will be something like opposite transition 777 to 787, something like 3-4 days of CBT, 2x 4h fixedbase and something like 2x4h FFS (incl. PPC). Maybe I am totally wrong

787 to 777...Unless there was a change in the EASA JOEB in the last year, your licensing authority may allow you to undergo a shortened course. Check EASA B787 JOEB of 2012 for the information.

Looks like 11 hours CBT, 4 hours flat panel and 9 hours sim plus brief/debrief times, sounds expensive if you’re going to self fund it.

Most people go the other way ....I too am considering it though (tired of the company promising roster improvements and not delivering) so would be interested if you get a definitive reply.
