Question Routes into / out of Teesside?

And Newcastle really.. No SIDs or STARs at either so how exactly do air transport aircraft route to and from these fields?

Example routes would be interesting to see. Thanks.

Down towards GASKO which is a point in space about 30 miles off the end of the runway at Teesside.

They are outside of controlled airspace, but will receive a radar service from either Teesside, Newcastle, or Pennine Radar (or london mil. overnight) to give them safe separation from other aircraft.

Thanks for that.

How about Amsterdam flights and charter routes out to Greece / Turkey? Presumably they don't go via GASKO?

Do inbound flights also route in from GASKO to the 'TD'?

Thanks again.

You are quite correct, similar sort of thing, but they will route across the moors to FAMBO, which is in the direction of Amsterdam, abeam flamborough head (a few miles out to sea).

So thats pretty much down the valley to whitby then !

If they are going "Down the Valley to Whitby" then won't they pass over Fylingdales Rader station? or is this only used when Fylingdales is inactive?
