US Visa application for flight crew

I am getting mixed messages from people who got visas 8 or 9 years ago regarding the fastest way to get it done. One guy believes you can go in with an early appointment and collect late afternoon. Another said it will take a week from interview to dropping back through your letterbox. The US website does not seem to mention any same day service that I can see? Thanks in advance

In which country?
In Germany it takes about two weeks, no way to accelerate things.

What safe life said.

Crew doing renewals in the U.K. with our company are advised it could takes anything up to a week to get passport back, though it's usually back in a day or two.

DId mine in France about three years back, embassy visit in Paris, in the morning, passport arrived back home in the deepest south the next day, using express post/courier type delivery.

I could be wrong but AFAIK there is no same day service in either country.
