hi guys was in LGW this morning and i saw a white 757 with Monarch on the sides reg EI-MON just wondering does anyone know who is operating it,is it a hire in for summer etc.

Probably a temp replacement for the slightly bent 757 in Gib, at a guess.

A/c is operating on a dry lease basis and is acting as a standby a/c for the summer season. Operated by monarch line pilots!

No - it was on strength before the Gibralter incident.

It is their standby aircraft for the summer season and I believe it is on a short term lease. Not sure why it is on the ROI Register rather than the UK one.

How are they operating EI reg and G reg with the same pilots. Didn't think that was possible.

Yes it is possible. It just needs a simple piece of paper to add to the collection of other pieces of paper in the licence.

Saw this A/c earlier this year at LTN coming out the hangar believe it had an israeli reg on it
