Foreign registered aircraft based in Europe

Hello, new to PPRuNe so bear with me if this is the wrong forum for this.

Just moved to Europe and am contemplating basing my non-EU-reg aircraft here. It will be used for private/business use - not commercial.

It is currently C-reg, but I may change it to N-reg for maintenance reasons.

The new ruling on pilots of N-reg aircraft based in Europe requiring EASA licence from the national CAA was supposed to be in effect this spring.

I can find any updates at all online, so am not sure if I will need to either convert my FAA or TC licences to EASA to fly it here.

Anybody know the current status of this issue?

Feel free to provide links to other forums or websites if this has already been resolved / explained fully.

Thanks.
