Discuss possible wind shear
Discuss likelihood of GA, actions
Discuss Missed Approach implications
Prog 2 on PF side, ask PM to announce big shifts

Get the aircraft trimmed and demonstrate how crap the sim is at crosswinds by flying hands off until you squeeze straight and flare.

Later FSTDs (with the later datapacks) are really not that bad at crosswinds, however gusting conditions are very poorly simulated mainly due to lack of data from the OEMs and the regulators have now recognised this and are addressing it.

Fair point. Even with the turbulence turned up, strong crosswinds in my company's sims are pretty easy.

In the aircraft, they are anything but!

Pin Head - I suggest searching Threat Error Management (TEM) and look up the ALAR checklist.
