Jaa ATPL converting to a FAA licence
Does anyone know what I will have to do to convert a JAA ATPL into a FAA licence?
If I want to instruct in the states I guess I will have to do an instructor course, can I get a visa to train for this then work out there for a couple of months?
Cheers

To obtain FAA ATP you need to pass the written exam and pass the flight test.
You will be unable to get a J1 visa to instruct in the states with your level of experience. Unless you have a green card or dual citizenship then there is close to nil chance of obtaining employment.
You would also have to do an FAA CFI written exams and flight test to instruct.

I think you can only get a J1 if you have a PPL or less as it is a visa to train you as a commercial pilot and then to gain experience. You certainly can not instruct on a tourist visa!!
Good Luck
