Gatwick ILS

Why is the glide slope intercept at 3000ft for 08R but only 2000ft for 26L? Standard clearance for 26L is to 3000ft and then on the glide after establishing on the localizer. It has been a long time since I was cleared to 2000ft on 26L.

Just guessing but 26L doesn't have Dunsfold on long final.

Thank you Chevron. It just seems strange that 26L ILS is only charted to 2000ft/5.5nm but we all use it much further out. I can just imagine a zealous line checker asking about promulgated distances for the usabilty of the ILS!
