The CAA 6 weeks ago and still waiting.
I retired 3 years ago age 58, but wish to get my ATPL renewed ,
And converted to EASA, do I need a class 1 medical
Only , or an IR as well, last one was 3 years ago
On a B777, thanks for any help you guys can provide.

If you are expired you will need to meet the requirements as published by Part FCL this will include but not limited to, training as required, medical , LPC. You should email flight crew standards for guidance although the CAA help desk know all the answers. At 61 if you haven't flown for 3 years this could be a judgement call unless you have a firm offer good luck

yes, i did try a phone call, they said email again!, i might try a visit, my thoughts were get a medical to get the licence renewed, and the IR would come with a job, ps couldnt edit reserection to the correct spelling!
