"Free Gate Bags" and 738 hold capacity
Hi I have another interesting question about the new RYR loadsheet policy about the Free Gate Bags.
The last Air Ops W&B manual report that the first 90 carry-on bags are guarenteed in the cabin with additional bags being permitted in the cabin subject to load. Due to cabin space restrictions, the remaining carry-on bags will be tagged as Free Gate Bags (FGBs) and loaded into the hold.
I understood that (as descripted in the above document) this operation should be performed before passenger boarding (correct me if I misunderstood), infact the remaining carry-on bags to be loaded into the hold have to be indicated in the SI space of the loadsheet by the Dispatcher.
Now the question regards the hold selection.
I know that the general RYR policy about bags (those subjected to payment) in the hold is that they load firstly the Hold 2 with max 160 bags, then the Hold 1 with max 30 bags, then the remainder will be loaded into the Hold 3 and the possible over-spill from hold 3 will be loaded into the Hold 4.
Furthermore the trim influence of each FGB is accounted as half of a standard hold bag.
Moreover the Hold Bag Adjusted Weight Table supplies values till 204 bags for Hold 2 and till 67 bags for Hold 1.
Now what I would be interested in understanding is:
to state which hold has to be used to load the FGBs is it necessary to follow the general policy or the max available space of each Hold?
For example if I have 170 hold bags and 30 FGBs which is the right solution to load them?

160 hold bags
30 FGBs
Hold 1:
10 hold bags
2.
Hold 2:
160 hold bags
Hold 1:
10 hold bags
30 FGBs (considered as half weight following the above trim influence consideration)
or what else?

As you can see in my "public profile" I'm an engineer, I have a CPL/IR license but no TR because actually I'm still searching for work as a pilot. So unfortunately I do not have a CPT to ask for.
Since I am very passionate about airplanes, company airlines and all that is involved in this environment, thanks to a friend of mine (with which I shared the ATPL course) that actually was more lucky than me in finding a company to work with, I had access to interesting documentation to study and to grow up my knoledge about this work.
Maybe your answer might not have seemed so kind.
I think that sharing the knowledge is a good thing between people with passion for something but anyway it is not an obligation.
So I'm sorry if I disturbed someone. I think I did not violate any forum rule asking about the above argument.
But my intention now is not to open a debate about the above, but simply to learn more about something that I found interesting.
