Aer Lingus

If Aer Lingus hire-in crew as planned for Thursday's strike, will they require line training? My understanding is that one must be "trained" for a particular route in airline flying. This may be a myth but I guess that's why I ask.

If I am right, can crew really be trained so quickly?

Cheers

I believe that you will find that they are actually leasing in "aircraft" and not crews. Therefore the crews will be fully trained on the aircraft which they are flying.

As for line training, you are half correct in saying that it is a requirement, but its not specific to any particular route.
