Risks involved in IRAQ overflight during current crisis!

Any informed view on this matter,as my airline informs me that IATA has not declared any risk.
How high could stray munitions reach?

Unless you plan on flying below 20k I wouldn't worry about it.

The big airports are still open (Erbil, Baghdad, Najaf)..

Although parts are leaving Baghdad at the moment (US embassy is evacuating part of their personnel)…so the ORBI is quiet busy…

According to last reports, the rebels have light to heavy machine guns (going up to app. 3000m MAX, as well as RPGs….

Unless you´re getting below 10.000 feet, that should not be a risk for you…..
Coming in to ORBI, you should come in from the south-this region is clear at the moment….the rebels are between Mosul and Tikrit, pushing southbound towards Baghdad.
