Types of approaches to IXE - a critical airfield?

Hello, first of all, I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong place.

Here is query to the gentlemen who have flown to and from IXE/VOML, which is flagged as a critical airfield because of it's location - 337' feet above MSL(tabletop, short runway) and 8038' long. a I have noticed that under normal circumstances, the aircraft use rwy 24 for departure and arrival, but 06 is used at times as well.

- When rwy 06 is used for arrivals, what kind of approaches do they fly?

- Where can I find the STAR's for IXE? I'm looking for all possible arrival routes, normal instrument, as well as unusual visual approaches flown into this airfield.

I have had the chance to spot a spectacular low approach for rwy 06, they drop down low, fly slow and dirty, westbound, then make a spectacular right hand sweep to join the final approach flight path somewhere around 500' RA which not something we see everyday. I can say they would be on the tarmac in a matter of seconds after the bank.

- I have seen only Jet Airways 73H's fly this kind of approach. Any idea why it is done?

Thank you for reading!

I've been there, nice airport, just don't go off the end. There are no published STAR for VOML, but both 6 and 24 have instrument approaches and, IIRC, no radar. Jet probably flew a visual pattern (circuit in India?), look out windows, fly plane to runway. Despite non-believers, this approach is very safe and appropriate in VMC.

We flew the arc to the final for 6, but with the field in sight, flew visual to land.

So true, galaxy flyer! I'm not sure if they have a radar facility now.

Another question I forgot to mention is about FLEX TEMP/assumed temp take-offs. Are you allowed to do reduced thrust take off's in this particular airfield, and in any critical airfield? What are the constraints that come into picture while deciding to do a full-power t/o, apart from a reported windshear on departure leg? A contaminated runway maybe?

Thank you!
