could anyboy explain to me what D-value means?

It appears your 'D-value' is the difference between the actual height of a pressure surface and its standard height.

From the forewords in ICAO Annex 3 and PANS-ATM, I gather the term 'D-value' was introduced in 1963 but soon deleted from the model AIREP form in 1965/6.
