aircraft radome

Only if the radar is activated. Our guidance is not to activate our weather radar if there are people within 200m of our nose, or 100m if they are inside something like a bus or other aeroplane.

For an Airbus, the danger area is essentially inside the radome.

I don't know how much power is radiated from a/c weather radar but I suspect that it's not as much as some ground based radars. The one on the tower in the central area at Heathrow used to run 65 megawatts if my memory serves. It didn't harm those of us working in the tower close by.... except we all ended up with squeaky voices!
