Intense Red Lights 300nm S of UHPP

Was flying trans-Pac eastbound about 300nm S of Petropavlovsk and about 120nm offshore the small island chain between Japan and Russia when we saw over one hundred very bright and very red lights (among many very bright white lights) to our left (west).

Is the fishing fleet now using these really bright, intensely red lights in place of the really bright white lights they had been using to attract squid?

Anyone else see this?

...or anything else with a pulse.
