Pay to Fly

It means the utter joke of an inexperienced, unemployed pilot paying for his/her type rating, then paying a middleman for the 'honour' of flying said aircraft type for an airline. That's right, you pay an airline to fly as a copilot for 1-2-300 hours or more, with no job contract, no guarantee of more work, and no return beyond enough hours to make you dangerous.
