Nose wheel slide

Just wondering whether you have to undergo special training to be able to slide a nose wheel as per the video below? Is it in anyway similar to rally driving?

No special training. Any idiot can do it by cranking over the tiller at too high a speed, disregarding SOPs and common sense at the same time.

It is generally referred to as "scrubbing", the longer and lighter an aircraft the easier it is to do. Also raked gear on MD/DC's lift one tire off the ground in a tight turn giving less traction. As stated above there are regulatory taxi and turn speeds established by the CAA, MFGR and operator but everyone exceeds them. That was a excessive case of scrubbing a nose tire, the driver was completely out of control.
