Part FCL - Type Rating Issue

Does Part FCL allow one to add a type rating onto their 'European' ATPL that is endorsed and valid on another ICAO licence, once 500hrs on type has been achieved?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

YES, basically same requirements as per JAA.
