Are ICAO Q-codes still in use?

Hello,
I had someone ask the other day about QDM and QDR codes.

According to this link Ralf D. Kloth DL4TA - List of Q-codes the codes are outdated.

If still in use how are they used in a standard comm protocol.

Thanks in advance.

QDM
QDR
QNH
QFE
QSY

Not many, if any others in common use but these won't go away any time soon.

How are they used? Surely you don't need to ask?
