Adding a type rating that was done outside US on to your FAA license
I was hoping if anyone can give me some information on how to go about to add a type rating that was done in the UK or outside the US, onto my FAA ATPL

Short answer:
* Make sure it's an FAA recognised type ie one that 'exists' within the FAA system.
* Submit to the TSA insecurity bull****
* Pass a type rating checkride**. It could be done in an approved sim if one exists for the type.
**I don't remember if you need an instructor recommendation first, considering you already hold an ICAO type rating.

Shorter answer:
There is no "transfer" or "validation" of foreign types. You receive training, do an oral and a checkride like someone who has never seen the plane.
Most 142 schools will run you through a shorter course, like an upgrade class v. initial.

OK, longer answer. The FAA will issue a PVT certificate with type ratings limited to "VFR only" based on a foreign license under 61.75. Since the OP already has an ATP that option is not open to them. The only way to add a type to a FAA ATP is to complete a ground school and pass the oral and checkride.
