Do FAA flighthours cont towards JAR PPL?

Hi,

Im a commercial Helicopter Pilot.

A few years ago I startet PPL A training in the USA (FAA).
Unfortunately I didnīt finish my flighttraining in the US but I logged around 40 hours including night flight and soloflights.

Now Iīm doing my JAR PPL A training in Germany.

Do the FAA hourīs I flew years ago on PA28/C172 count towards my JAR license?
