Post Hovercraft

Possibly not in the remit of Pprune but does anybody know any Hovercraft drivers at Dover and are they classed as Seamen or Airmen or both. What are they going to do now that the Hovers have been sold? Are they going with the Hovers to foreign climes and new lives or will they now drive the Seacats instead.

Cheers

From my understanding Hovercraft drivers we're classed as airmen, when I did my flight training one of the instructors used to be a Hoverspeed driver and his hours we're logged in his flying logbook, I think that now that they have stopped using the machines the crews are either retired or trained to go on to the Seacats.
