Smile Jump seat "trip"

Hi I am a low hour PPL just 80hrs at present, and wonder if any airline still allow jumpseat trips?
I heard a while ago that it was possible if you paid the airport(departure)tax.
So if it anyone can arrange it out of EGCC, could they e-mail me at.

Thanks

Or if you could arrange it by going to visit/writing to Airlines rather than expecting all us busy pilots to sort it out for you that would be even better!

Sorry though, things are too chaotic in our company to rely on any stability for arrangements of that sort at the mo. Try writing or phoning though, someone might be able to find someone else important enough to arrange it with a degree of reliability. Apparently my company now charges APT Tax PLUS £30!!! That does take the p1ss a bit...

Yes,

I have heard that airlines can organise it if you write to them.... I know BM did a few years ago.
