UK - Runway Width, How measured?
Any help on this would be appreciated, can't find anything in CAP168.
When a runway is licensed, what distance is measured to publish the width of the runway? (assuming a uniform width along the length of the runway)
1) Physical width from one edge to the other
2) Between outer edge of sidestripes
3) Between inner edge of sidestripes

It seems to me the width of the runway is not measured from the side stripe markings, but the side stripe markings are referenced to the width of the runway. ICAO give a recommendation in Annex 14:
Similarly, CAP 168 says in 4.2.2 of Chapter 7:
Having these two provisions in mind, answer 2) to your question seems most appropriate.
5.2.7.3 Recommendation.- A runway side stripe marking should consist of two stripes, one placed along each edge of the runway with the outer edge of each stripe approximately on the edge of the runway, except that, where the runway is greater than 60 m in widht, the stripes should be located 30 m from the runway centre line.
[...] Runway edge marking sholud consist of two parallel lines, one placed along each edge of the runway with the outer edge of each line marking the declared edge of the runway. [...]
