New African Operator
Does anyone know anythig more about that African operator going to be going out of Gatwick, Heathrow and Manston.
Apparently they have MD DC10's delivered this week on a special deal from Boeing at Manston airport and have a fleet of old DC 8's in Africa.
They are planning from what I hear to fly DC 10's from the three London airports (mostly Gatwick and Manston) to Lagos and then use this as a hub to all over Africa using the old DC8's and some other bangers. No sound restrictions over most of Africa so they can fly them with ease, or so I was told by email.
At present they have a few of the aircraft at Manston getting ready.
SO does anyone know anything more on this?

This cropped up the other day on a post titled "Red Air"...
There's an African Safari Airways DC-10 (5Y-MBA) which has been re-registered 5X-ONE and is scheduled to be purchased by the mysterious Africa One.
Africa One is apparently located in Entebbe.
Any more? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
